About the Founder

An educator, writer and parent, asking what helps young people find perspective and direction in a changing world.

Ng Boon Min, founder of The Bridge

Ng Boon Min · Educator, writer and parent

Ng Boon Min is an educator, writer and parent who spent 19 years in Singapore education. From 2019 to 2025, she served as Vice-Principal in a junior college and a mainstream secondary school.

She began her career in education in 2006 on a PSC Merit Scholarship (Local), after graduating as Valedictorian of the NUS Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences with First Class Honours in English Language. She was awarded three book prizes, in 2003, 2004 and 2005. She later completed a Master of Educational Research Methods at the University of Western Australia.

Across her years in education, Boon Min's work ranged widely across school leadership, curriculum, pedagogy, teacher development and organisational change. As a school leader, she conceptualised, built and led school-wide efforts in Self-Directed Learning, the National Digital Literacy Programme and Future of Learning.

She also led an MOE syllabus review and represented her cluster in zonal work on teacher leadership as well as curriculum and instructional leadership.

Her work led her to ponder: What do young people need to think, adapt and live with direction in a constantly changing world? And what do they need beyond curriculum, instruction and programmes?

The Bridge grows out of these questions.
